Small changes in energy consumption can mean big savings in energy costs. JK&L is working on an energy efficiency project with a company interested in cutting costs by replacing or retrofitting more than 6000 fluorescent light fixtures with the more efficient LED fixtures. How big will the savings be? In order to find out, JK&L installed a kilowatt hour meter to monitor the existing lighting. This way, the customer will have a clear idea of the cost savings after replacing the old lighting. The work is being done during after hours to avoid any disruptions to the business. JK&L will also work with an EPA-approved company to responsibly recycle the old lighting system. This project will not only result in lower energy costs, it will also lessen the burden on our environment by emitting fewer greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
